Invitation.
I invite you to gather a variety of seasonal fallen or discovered natural items and form a large eco-flower. This creative prompt is a grounding way to honour mindful harvesting and nature in transition, whether in your garden or immediate surroundings or during nature walks.
Materials.
• Nature treasures, accent materials that you have on hand (glass beads, rocks, sticks etc) - and a camera to capture your design for this creative prompt.
Often with seasonal weeding and pruning you end up with a substantial amount to harvest. Creating these flowers with large filled centres allows you to play with ease, use the resources at hand, and be in this mindful and relaxed process where there is less emphasis on pattern and design.
Sometimes in our hectic lives. this simple creative process is exactly what is needed for grounding and emotional regulation!!!

Part of mindful harvesting is also taking and using only what you need.
What is wonderful about creating from seasonal nature delights and discoveries (that have fallen, been pruned, weeded or uncovered), is that you are honouring nature and life cycles in that moment in time, encouraging reflection around the earth, nurturing presence, wonder and bonding in your creative process (whether the natural elements are going back into the ground, being composted etc - earth as kin…. and nature in transition)

It can be enjoyable to combine fresh and dried elements in your nature creations. In addition to the aesthetics of textures, colours and contrast… one can reflect upon stages, transitions and cycles….
