Jean and her Friends 〰 Hosted by Betty and April

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Valentine’s Social! What an incredible turnout — Betty and I truly lost count!

It was such a joy to see both familiar and new faces on Saturday. Over the past year, many of Mom’s friends there at Amica would stop by our table when Mom and I came down to the main dining room for dinner with Betty and Blake. Those brief but meaningful visits planted a little seed. Betty and I thought it might be nice to host a small, informal social — just a cozy opportunity for people to gather and connect.

What we didn’t expect was the turnout!

I also wanted to create a space where I could say hello, celebrate all of you, and offer a small treat as a token of gratitude for your kind inquiries, care, and support over these past few years. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

So… as Jean’s daughter — AKA Artsie-April — and as a maker (artist, eco-artist and art therapist), I thought it would be fun to include a couple of creative making stations: heart mini floral arrangements and heart ornaments.

It was such a delight to see everyone chatting, and enjoying the afternoon together.

I was too busy at my ‘mini-vase making station’, creating with and for many of you.. so I was unable to take too many photos unfortunately.
