Sharing just a few of Jill Hewlett’s dynamic HeartArt creations. As an art therapist it is wonderful to read about her creative journey, her discovery and celebration of meaningful expression through playful mark-making and art-making, and how HeartArt came into being with such a lovely intention of bringing daily love into her home space with her colourful and vibrant creations.
Jill and I connected years ago through our mutual friend Sandra when I was still in Toronto and I attended some of Jill’s wonderful Brain Fitness training workshops and attended a monthly Women’s Wellness Circle she facilitated. I remember her warmth, enthusiasm and care as a facilitator and guide.

Jill’s Story.
HeartArt is a journey of love that began during pregnancy and continued to flourish with the birth and growth of my beautiful daughter, to decorate and uplift the walls of our home.
After receiving multiple requests to purchase the original paintings, I decided to make the pictures available through a series of greeting cards and prints.
Weaving a vibrant fusion of acrylic, ink and water-based paints, fabric from foreign travels, ribbon and specialty paper, these multi-dimensional and multi-elemental pictures light up the people and spaces where it is placed.
Each piece carries the magic, warmth, texture and love, reflective of a playful spirit, and speaks to people of all ages.
Thanks to my personal growth journey, I was led to the knowledge and tools that I share with others in my professional life. Early on my path, I did not identify as a creative person, however, overtime I have come to realize that not only am I a highly creative individual, we all are! Life is a courageous act of creating, choosing, and becoming in each and every moment. HeartArt was unexpectedly birthed during this process.
